Who are we?

The Centre d’Études et de Documentation du Sucre (CEDUS: Centre for Sugar Research and Information), is one of the very first interprofessional organizations created in France. Founded in 1932, its mission is to gather and disseminate information on one of the food industry’s key products: sugar.

Le Centre d’Études et de Documentation du Sucre

Since 1932, the sugar industry has run an interprofessional organization to gather and disseminate information about an essential food product: sugar. From research to education to information, CEDUS is always at the service of the consumer.

CEDUS’s mission is to meet the needs of any group in society concerned about the consumption and use of sugar derived from beets and sugar cane. This mission includes:

  • - raising awareness of sugar’s nutritional aspects in the medical and paramedical fields,
  • - disseminating information to the general public,
  • - serving as a resource centre for professionals, teachers, students and the media concerning all aspects of sugar: culinary, technical, economic, gastronomic, etc.
