Since 1932, the sugar industry has run an interprofessional organization to gather and disseminate information about an essential food product: sugar. From research to education to information, CEDUS is always at the service of the consumer. .
CEDUS’s mission is to meet the needs of any group in society concerned about the consumption and use of sugar derived from beets and sugar cane. This mission includes: :
- raising awareness of sugar’s nutritional aspects in the medical and paramedical fields,
- disseminating information to the general public,
- serving as a resource centre for professionals, teachers, students and the media concerning all aspects of sugar: culinary, technical, economic, gastronomic, etc.

The Centre d’Études et de Documentation du Sucre is open to the public from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..
