The creator of this sugar website, Centre d'Etudes et de Documentation du Sucre (Centre for Sugar Research and Information) provides a forum for professionals working in all areas of the sugar industry. CEDUS's board of directors includes representatives of France's sugar cane and sugar beet growers, sugar manufacturers, refiners and packagers.

The organisation supplies a wide range of information to different interest groups and opinion formers: teaching aids, posters, recipe leaflets, economic statistics and technical information. The centre also organises exhibitions, demonstrations of working with sugar, scientific symposia and events for the general public.
